The Strike Course familiarizes students with the planning, resourcing and safe execution of a set strike. Seasoned professionals will facilitate a combination of classroom and practical work enabling students to become significant assets during strike.

Course Schedule and Location
The course is from 9 AM to 5 PM on January 18th and 19th, 2020 at the Stagecoach Foundation Set & Prop House, Santa Fe, NM. There will be several short breaks during the day and a 1 hour catered lunch at 12 PM.
Age: 17+
Requirements: Work gloves & Closed Toe Shoes
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
Describe the purpose of a strike
Describe the steps of a strike
Collaborate on a strike plan
Describe the care and handling of set elements and props
Describe and properly employ relevant safety measures and equipment
Move and store set elements and props
Interact with key theater or studio personnel during strike
Responsibly reuse, reduce and/or recycle unneeded set elements and props
Run a post-strike review
